Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Nullframe. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate, because most of what matters here is genuinely simple.

1. The images you upload

For JPEG, PNG, and WebP files, scanning and cleaning happen entirely inside your browser using JavaScript's Canvas and File APIs. The image is never transmitted to our servers or anyone else's.

For HEIC/HEIF files, and for writing custom metadata fields (our "Edit" mode) on any format, your browser can't do the work natively, so the file is sent to our server for processing. In that case:

2. Standard server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic request metadata — IP address, timestamp, requested path, and user agent — for security and reliability purposes. We don't use this data for advertising profiling ourselves, and it is not linked to the contents of any image you process.

3. Cookies and advertising

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info/choices. We may also use a standard web analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g. which pages are visited); any such analytics data is aggregated and not tied to the images you process.

4. Children's privacy

Nullframe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Your choices

Because most processing happens locally in your browser, the simplest privacy control is: don't use the HEIC or Edit-mode features if you'd rather nothing touch our servers at all — the Remove and View modes for JPEG/PNG/WebP never leave your device.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
